IF YOU HAVE HAMACHI AND DON'T WANT TO BE MESSING AROUND WITH SETTING'S EVERYDAY, UN-INSTALL IT FOR NOW AND INSTALL TUNNGLE.
TUNNGLE HAS ONLY JUST SURFACED AND COULD PROVE TO BE VERY POPULAR AS IT WORKS VERY WELL WHEN SET UP.
This is a very good application and has excellent support for multiplayer, with a browser for most games to see the people in each room.
It is in beta stages and needs full uk language implementing but i am sure they will update soon enough. I have to say a lot is in german and a bit in english but really simple enough to work out.
At TUNNGLE.NET you will find the download to install to your pc what basically is a network adapter what is installed so you can use lan over internet.
So once you have installed the app and registered a login pass for tunngle you will want to see what games you want to play.
There might be a few tweaks to do to get certain games working.
EXAMPLE
REDFACTION GUERILLA is a excellent game in multiplayer mode and really shines with the destruction and weapons/gadgets you can use to become the ultimate FRAGGING MACHINE!
For this you need to also sign up to www.teknogods.com and get TeknoGods.dll Beta 12 and DLLLoad By Reaver, this is need to run this game in lan mode.
Make a new folder on c drive and call it DLlload, put the files teknogods dll in it [copy and paste into folder]and also DLLLOAD into here. These will help play the game in lan mode.
Once you have done this make sure to run the file in the teknogods archive connectionoverridetunngle, that should make it work but you might still need to do something, to check setting's boot up redfaction and press home to bring up live and go to setting's and network then see if it says tunngle and the ip is like 7.0.7 etc not 88.101.85.201 etc. [these are examples remember your ip would be different].
If it says tunngle and the ip looks like a tunngle ip you should be ok.
Now run the dllload file it will say injecting, once you boot up game it will do it's job.
If you are set up boot up game, next is to go to lan menu in RFG and see what servers are there, if you see one to join click to join then press F12 and you should hear a voice to confirm connection, when you hear it press again to hear it say complete. This stops you crashing from server randomly.
Now you are fully playing a smooth lan game over the internet with people playing from all over the world.
RESIDENT EVIL 5 WILL WORK TOO
WITH THE DLLLOAD EXE.
IF YOU STILL CAN'T SEE A SERVER WHEN YOU KNOW THERE IS A SERVER UP FOR TUNNGLE, YOU WILL NEED TO DO THE RENAME TRICK, BASICALLY RENAMING YOUR TUNNGLE ADAPTER TWICE AND REBOOTING TWICE.
HERE GOES.
1: LOG OFF TUNNGLE IF CONNECTED AND LOG OFF NET.
2: GO TO CONTROL PANEL AND CLICK NETWORK AND INTERNET, THEN CLICK NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER, THEN ON THE TOP LEFT CORNER YOU WILL SEE CHANGE ADAPTER SETTING'S CLICK THIS, YOU WILL SEE NETWORK CONNECTIONS HERE.
3: WITH TUNNGLE ADAPTER RIGHT CLICK ON IT AND PRESS RENAME, RENAME TO 'TUNNGLE1' AND RESTART PC.
4: ONCE LOGGED BACK ON GO BACK THERE AND RENAME AGAIN TO 'TUNNGLE' RESTART PC AGAIN.
5: LOG BACK ON AND RUN THE OVERRIDETUNNGLE FILE IN TEKNOGODS FILES.
6: NOW HOPEFULLY YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE THAT YOUR SETTING'S IN LIVE ARE TUNNGLE SETTING'S.
